                          We are the Olof Palme Peace Foundation International (OPPFI)

                    A UN NGO founded to actively support the United Nations in its efforts to:

           "...maintain international peace and security, promote social progress and better standards of life, strengthen international law, and promote the expansion of human rights.”

                OPPFI contributes its full staff and resources to assist the United Nations 

· Through contributions to UN international policy formation, execution, and implementation

· Through concerted efforts focused on Women and Children (especially orphans) to include:

. The prevention of violence and domestic abuse

. The empowerment of all women and children in all aspects of life (Physical and Mental Health,   Education, & Employment, etc.)

 . Through actively supporting internationally and domestically, the implementation of the 17 UN    Sustainable Development Goals.

. Through OPPFI affiliates in Nigeria, Ghana, South Korea, Malaysia and Nepal.

The aims and objectives of the Olof Palme Peace Foundation International have been formulated as follows: 

To give material, moral and spiritual support to efforts and activities geared toward furthering peace and understanding between peoples; To help those in need build health facilities, like primary healthcare centers; assist in building schools for needy communities; provide food items, shelters and cultural outposts for communities in acute need of such assistance; The OPPFI actively supports efforts to enhance and promote understanding and lines of communication between nations and different races by conducting educational activities in the form of symposia, film presentations, rallies, concerts, exhibitions, conferences, peace games and peace fairs etc.; To conduct various youth educational programs to promote international understanding and peace; To oppose and eradicate any kind of discrimination toward the elderly and physically challenged and to promote their increased participation in society. Enhance the participation of Women in the promotion of International Peace. 

SPECIAL FOCUS & MISSION: The two major areas of concentration in the peace efforts of the OPPFI are: EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN EVERY CULTURE WITH EDUCATION, SAFETY & PROTECTION, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS MICRO LENDING, FAMILY AND SOCIETAL SUPPORT, HEALTH SERVICES, AND PROMOTION OF RESPECT FOR ALL. On that note the primary focus of the OPPFI is the PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AS WELL AS ANY KIND OF DOMESTIC ABUSE. 

To accomplish our goals we at the Olof Palme Peace Foundation International, are a partner with all governmental, non governmental, private institutions, foundations, corporations, entities, non profits, that share in our mission. 

1) WE CONDEMN ANY SANCTIONED OR CULTURALLY OR RELIGIOUSLY BASED

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN INCLUDING BUT NOT CONFINED TO:

HONOR KILLINGS, TORTURE OR ANY OTHER INFRINGEMENT ON BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS.

In a nutshell our primary goal is to:

FOSTER AWARENESS ON THE SUBJECT OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN THROUGH  MEANS OF EDUCATION.

EXPLAIN WHY IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY FOR BATTERED VICTIMS TO SPEAK UP OR LEAVE FROM AN ABUSIVE ENVIRONMENT OR SITUATION.

ENCOURAGE ADVOCACY SUPPORT AND A FORUM THROUGH THE UN; 

PROVIDE A VOICE FOR THE OPPRESSED WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

2) The other major area of concentration is to provide A VOICE THROUGH THE CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER TO THE DIFFERENT DISENFRANCHISED GROUPS, WITHIN OR OUTSIDE NATIONS, OF SOCIOECONOMIC, NATIONAL, INDIGENOUS, RELIGIOUS ORIGINS, THAT FEEL AND CAN SUBSTANTIATE PROOF OF PERSECUTION, DISCRIMINATION OR ILL TREATMENT OF ANY KIND.

While we at the OPPFI cannot per se solve conflicts between different groups or nations or parties within a nation we can nevertheless help provide a VOICE, A ROUTE FOR FREE EXPRESSION AND RESOLUTION.

3) The Olof Palme Peace Foundation International is not in the business of breaking apart nations or political and artificial nation building.

Rather, we provide the means of achieving solutions primarily thru the CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER of the United Nations and help those groups that feel oppressed register.

We do not preemptively take sides.

Our foundation is governed by a Constitution which specifies all the conditions for governance and membership, that is UN approved; THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED NATIONS IS THE HIGHEST INTERNATIONAL AUTHORITY.

Our existence, commitment and contact information are available to the public on the internet and directly through the information source of the United Nations.

OUR GOAL IS TO LINK HUMANITY THROUGH PEACE AND WE TAKE AT HEART THE 

BEATITUDE: ”HAPPY ARE THOSE WHO STRIVE FOR PEACE-THEY SHALL BE CALLED

THE SONS OF GOD” (Matthew 5-9).

We hope this mission statement has served to clarify who we are, where we originate from, our aims and objectives, where we are heading.

Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.
